Elected as IESF Board Member: First Sarawakian Representative Sets Milestone

(Kuching, 8th) Sarawakian Afiq Fadhli Narawi was elected as Malaysia’s representative to join the International Esports Federation (IESF) Board, becoming the first representative from Sarawak to hold the position.
He described this election not only as a significant personal milestone, but also as highly meaningful for Sarawak, demonstrating the growing influence of Sarawak and Malaysia on the global esports stage.

He said, “For Sarawak, this election opens the door for us to gain greater recognition on the international esports stage.
“I will dedicate myself to supporting local talent, developing grassroots esports programs, and creating channels for youth to participate in international competitions. Through building partnerships, promoting education, and encouraging innovation, our goal is to make Sarawak a hub for esports development in Malaysia and even Southeast Asia.” he stated in a press release today.
The International Esports Federation recently held its 17th Annual General Meeting (OGM) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, alongside the grand finals of the 17th IESF World Esports Championship for Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB).

In the 10th IESF election, Vlad Marinescu was successfully re-elected, continuing his tenure as the President of the 10th International Esports Federation, embarking on his second term.
