(Kuala Lumpur, 23rd) In conjunction with the Parliamentary sitting, Sarawak Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari hosted a meeting with Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) Members of Parliament and Senators in Kuala Lumpur on Monday (22nd).
According to information released on the Sarawak Premier's official Facebook page, the meeting focused on current issues related to Sarawak's development, the implementation status of strategic projects, as well as efforts to protect and advance Sarawak's rights at the federal level.
The meeting also served as an important platform to coordinate GPS positions and strategies in order to further strengthen Sarawak's voice at the national level.
During the meeting, Abang Johari emphasized that GPS elected representatives must continue to maintain cooperation, unity, and commitment to ensure that Sarawak's development agenda can be effectively implemented for the benefit of the people.
This meeting was held in conjunction with the second session of the fifth term of the 15th Parliament. The Dewan Rakyat (Lower House) sitting is held from June 22nd to July 16th, spanning a total of 16 days.
Meanwhile, the Dewan Negara (Upper House) sitting will be held from July 20th to August 4th, totaling 10 days; the previous Lower House sitting concluded on March 3rd, lasting 20 days.
