(Miri, 16th) Miri Guang Hui Zhao Association held the 2025 Double Parents' Day celebration banquet last night at the banquet hall on the fifth floor of the Miri Imperial Palace Hotel, presenting scholarships to members' children for academic excellence, creating a warm and lively atmosphere.
Miri Guang Hui Zhao Association President Huang Yunxiang stated in his speech that Double Parents' Day is a day to express filial piety and gratitude, as well as an opportunity to remind everyone to cherish family bonds and spend time with their parents. He expressed the highest respect and sincere gratitude to all parents on behalf of the organizers.
He said, parents are not only the starting point of life but also the first mentors on their children's life path. "It is their selfless care and careful guidance that provide us with the warmest and most solid support. They support us when we fall and guide us when we are lost."

Huang Yunxiang pointed out that, while social development is constantly evolving and technology is continuously innovating, parents' love for their children remains unchanged. He urged everyone to take time to accompany their parents and care for their physical and mental health amidst their busy lives.
"In today's age of ubiquitous smart technology, we should also patiently assist the elderly in mastering electronic information and remind them to remain vigilant against scams. Filial piety doesn't need to be complicated; a greeting or a moment of companionship is the best expression."
He also encouraged attendees to remember their deceased parents, inherit their spirit and virtues, and let gratitude and filial piety be passed down through generations.
Additionally, the association took this opportunity to award scholarships to several members' children who performed outstandingly in their studies, encouraging them to continue striving and living up to the expectations of their parents and society.
Huang Yunxiang encouraged students to strive upwards and reach new heights on their future paths, bringing glory to their families and contributing to society.
