(Bandar Seri Begawan, 24th) The Ministry of Health today issued a statement informing the public that, due to an announcement by the Ministry of Defence, the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (ABDB) will be conducting the "Strong Spirit Series 08/2026" military exercise from 10pm on the 25th of this month to 2am on January 26. Access to the Pengiran Muda Mahkota Pengiran Muda Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah Hospital (PMMPMHAMB) in Tutong District will be temporarily restricted during the exercise period.
During the exercise, temporary traffic management will be implemented on the main road leading to the hospital. Members of the public using private vehicles who plan to visit the hospital can still enter the area, but must cooperate with security management and instructions from the authorities on duty. The Ministry of Health advises the public to arrange their schedules in advance and arrive at the hospital before 10pm to avoid delays caused by temporary traffic controls.
For emergency cases, the public can still go to the hospital as usual for treatment, and emergency services and ambulance operations will not be affected during the exercise. The Ministry of Health stated that it will work closely with the Royal Brunei Armed Forces to ensure that medical services are not interrupted during the exercise, and to safeguard the safety of patients, medical staff, and the public.
