Chinese Navy Ships Visit Brunei, Dock at Muara Port for Five Days

(Bandar Seri Begawan, 24th) The Chinese Navy's training ship 'Qi Jiguang' and comprehensive landing ship 'Kunlun Shan' arrived today at Brunei's Muara Port, commencing a five-day goodwill visit. Chinese Ambassador to Brunei, Chen Shaochun, was present to welcome them, joining guests and relevant personnel on site to greet the officers and sailors of the naval formation.

As the two vessels slowly sailed into port, the sailors, dressed in crisp navy uniforms, lined up on deck and waved to the welcoming crowd at the pier. The national flags of both China and Brunei fluttered in the wind, as the welcoming party enthusiastically waved in greeting, creating a solemn yet warm atmosphere at the pier.

When the ships docked, rounds of applause broke out at the scene. The welcoming personnel cordially interacted with the visiting officers and sailors, taking group photos to mark the start of the goodwill visit.

At the invitation of the Royal Brunei Navy, the Chinese Navy formation, consisting of 'Qi Jiguang' and 'Kunlun Shan', will visit Brunei from the 24th to the 28th of this month. According to China's Ministry of National Defense, this year marks the 35th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Brunei, and the Chinese military is willing to further consolidate traditional friendship and deepen practical cooperation with Brunei.

During the visit, the two ships will host Open Day activities, inviting people from all walks of Brunei society to board the vessels and gain a close understanding of the Chinese Navy ships and the training and lives of the crew.

The Open Day hours are today (Friday) from 2:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., and on July 25 (Saturday) from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., and 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Those wishing to visit the ships must pre-register by scanning the QR code and enter from the main entrance of the Muara Commercial Port. Visitors are required to carry valid identification for on-site verification and follow the instructions of staff to maintain order.

All vehicles must be parked in designated areas as arranged by staff. The organizers welcome enthusiastic participation from all sectors of Brunei to jointly experience the friendly ties between China and Brunei.
