(Bandar Seri Begawan, 20th) Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam (BIBD) is continuing to advance its “Teduh Project,” dedicated to empowering communities, enhancing social welfare, and promoting inclusive national development.
The bank held a house handover ceremony yesterday at Jalan Bukit Ambog, Kampung Panchor Dulit, Tutong District, delivering a newly rebuilt home to a family.
BIBD Chairman and Minister of Home Affairs, Dato Ahmadin, attended the ceremony as the guest of honor.
This event marks another important step in BIBD's flagship Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, which is aimed at continuously improving lives through collaborative actions and a spirit of shared care.
This handover follows the successful completion of a similar “Teduh Project” house in Kampung Bukit Udal in November 2025, highlighting BIBD’s commitment to bringing tangible outcomes to the community.
The project was launched on December 5, 2025, and completed on January 15, 2026, reflecting the effectiveness of multi-agency collaboration in improving the living conditions of impoverished families and creating meaningful community impact.
Funding for the “Teduh Project” is a strategic integration and synergy of various sources, exemplifying a shared commitment to social impact. The majority of the funding comes from BIBD through commercial zakat donations, demonstrating the bank's commitment to purpose-driven charitable giving.
The Minister of Home Affairs officially handed over the house to the recipient, Nurhamzari, and his family.
This collective effort demonstrates BIBD and its stakeholders’ resolute commitment to enhancing social welfare through value-driven CSR projects that align with national development goals.
This ongoing initiative also demonstrates how collective care can have a lasting impact; it is rooted in the objectives of Shariah and the value of “Heart for Brunei,” strengthening community spirit through care, collaboration, and shared goals.
The bank also extends its deepest appreciation to the Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Development, Authority for Building Control and Construction Industry (ABCi), as well as corporate and individual donors who share and recognize BIBD’s values and principles.
