(Hong Kong, 13th) Hong Kong media reports that Li Yongxia will replace Li Chenggang as China’s Permanent Representative to the World Trade Organization.
According to The Paper, the official website of China’s Ministry of Commerce has been updated to show that Li Yongxia is no longer serving as a member of the Party Leadership Group of the Ministry of Commerce and as Vice Ministerial-level Deputy International Trade Negotiator.
On Sunday (July 13th), Hong Kong’s Sing Tao Headline quoted sources as saying that Li Yongxia will replace Li Chenggang as China’s Permanent Representative to the World Trade Organization.
Earlier in her career, Li Yongxia served as Director of the WTO Legal Division in the Department of Treaty and Law, Ministry of Commerce. Subsequently, she held positions as Deputy Director-General and Director-General of the Department of Treaty and Law, Ministry of Commerce, and in 2024, she served as a member of the Party Leadership Group of the Ministry of Commerce and Vice Ministerial-level Deputy International Trade Negotiator.
