Changhong Arts & Culture Society Women's Group 'Triple Celebration' Gathering Singing Contest & Birthday Bash Welcomes Dragon Boat Festival in a Lively Atmosphere

(Miri, 12th June) The Miri Changhong Arts & Culture Society Women's Group hosted its Executive Committee Summer Mixed Mandarin Song Contest and the 'Fragrant Dragon Boat Date, Grateful Dumpling Night' on June 7 at their clubhouse, integrating three main themes: the Dragon Boat Festival, a group birthday celebration, and a singing contest. The atmosphere onsite was warm and lively.
The Organizing Chairperson, Cheng Cuifei, expressed in her speech that she was delighted for everyone to gather together to participate in the Women's Group's meticulously planned 'Triple Celebration' gathering and thanked everyone for turning up enthusiastically, which made the event even warmer and more touching.

She noted that this event brings together threefold joy. First is 'Well-being on Dragon Boat Festival, Dumplings Convey Deep Affection.' The Dragon Boat Festival is not only an important traditional celebration to commemorate Qu Yuan, but also symbolizes unity, health, and peace. The air was filled not only with the fragrance of dumplings, but also with the passing down of Chinese culture and deep bonds.
The second joy is 'Celebrating Birthdays Together, Full of Blessings.' The event specially held a collective birthday celebration for the sisters whose birthdays fall in the first half of the year, so everyone could exchange blessings in a warm atmosphere—an affectionate scene.

The third joy is 'Singing Voices Soar, Showcasing Talent.' She said the singing contest has always been well received, and participants bravely took to the stage to showcase their talent. The contest was not just a competition, but also a platform to express one’s love for life. Every contestant was a 'champion in their hearts.'
She also thanked the sisters of the Women's Group, the behind-the-scenes staff, as well as sponsors and supporters for their contributions, which enabled the event to proceed smoothly.
She hoped everyone would sing and laugh to their heart's content and take home happiness and warmth that evening.
