(Miri, 12th) – Sarawak Oil Company (PETROS) has issued a notice stating that a batch of heavy and oversized cargo will be transported from the Kuala Baram Heng Da Wharf to the Petit Miri Combined Cycle Gas Power Plant from the 11th to the 13th. During this period, the transport convoy will pass through several major routes. Road users are urged to stay alert, and brief traffic delays are expected on some road sections.
According to the notice, the transport route includes Lorong Perlis 3-1, Jalan Perlis 3, Jalan University, Jalan Desa Senadin, Lorong Desa Senadin 2, Jalan Promin Jaya 3, Jalan Maigold, Jalan Lutong–Kuala Baram, Jalan Senadin, and Jalan Pantai, among others.
The transport operation will be handled by a PETROS project contractor and involves the movement of large and over-sized equipment. Due to the size of the vehicles and their slow movement, necessary traffic control measures will be implemented during transportation to ensure road safety and smooth progress.
The authorities remind drivers passing through the above routes on the mentioned dates to slow down, follow on-site traffic instructions, and allow extra travel time in order to avoid affecting their schedule.
