Korean showbiz model couple Kim Woo-bin and Shin Min-a held their wedding on the evening of the 20th at Seoul’s Shilla Hotel, inviting only close friends and family. The entire event was strictly private, with tight security. The ceremony was hosted by Kim Woo-bin’s close friend Lee Kwang-soo. Initially, another friend—EXO member D.O. (Do Kyung-soo)—was scheduled to sing the congratulatory song, but as he had to attend the MMA Awards with his group, the singer-songwriter Car, the Garden performed instead. The wedding witness was the highly respected Buddhist monk Hwa Ryun Sunim.

According to Korean media reports, Hwa Ryun Sunim has long held free, private lectures for people in the entertainment industry and has a close relationship with both Kim Woo-bin and Shin Min-a. In particular, during Kim Woo-bin’s battle with nasopharyngeal cancer, Hwa Ryun Sunim gave him great spiritual support, making his role as wedding witness especially meaningful for the couple.

In addition, the couple, who have been in a low-key relationship for 10 years, maintained their privacy on their wedding day.
