U.S. President Trump stated that he would launch strikes against Iran in response to its attacks on U.S. troops stationed in the Middle East.

In an interview with Fox News Channel, he said: “We will hit them hard. They will suffer a heavy blow. Because now it’s our turn to strike them.”

He noted that he had watched the real-time video of the U.S. military’s interception operations, saying that the troops were defending the region.

However, he also stated that dialogue with Iran would continue.

When asked about U.S. and Saudi airstrikes against Iraqi militia forces, Trump said these actions had been coordinated with the Iraqi government and indicated that further warnings to Iran’s proxies were being considered.

Affected by the latest developments between the U.S. and Iran, among other factors, international crude oil futures prices rose significantly on the 29th.

At the close of the day, the price of light crude oil futures for September delivery on the New York Mercantile Exchange rose by $5.20 to close at $84.46 per barrel, an increase of 6.56%; September delivery Brent crude oil futures on the London market rose by $6.65 to close at $90.74 per barrel (around 37.08 billion ringgit), a rise of 7.91%.
