(Kuching, Jan 3) The Zhengkang Charity Team, in conjunction with the upcoming new year charity event, donated 30 bags of 5kg rice and food to the Grace Church in the Padawan area to be distributed to the needy and vulnerable groups in the area.
The head of the Zhengkang Charity Team, Zhong Qimei, upon receiving the list of vulnerable groups in need from Ms. Olympia, the chairperson of the church's charity group, handed over the materials through team member Chen Zhongxing.
The Zhengkang Charity Team, composed of traditional Chinese medicine practitioners with a heart for charity, also joined Ms. Olympia, the head of the Grace Church charity group in the Padawan area, in visiting the Borneo Highland mountainous region to provide medical services and free traditional Chinese medicine consultations to vulnerable families and the elderly.
Chen Zhong Xing, who is also the head of the Zhengkang Charity Team, pointed out that the team's traditional Chinese medicine members frequently conduct free medical consultations, not only in urban areas but also strive to visit remote and rural areas to serve those in need, including in mountainous and village areas inhabited by diverse ethnic groups, to promote the culture of Chinese medicine.
He expressed a strong sense of welcome from the people receiving these services in diverse ethnic areas and noted that some are experiencing Chinese medicine therapies such as massage, acupuncture for the first time, thus appreciating the effectiveness of traditional Chinese medical practices.
He emphasized that the members of the Zhengkang Charity Team will continue to accompany the church in visiting vulnerable families, providing medical treatments and medicines to impoverished mountain residents with health issues, allowing them to feel the warmth of society and contribute modestly to the cause of "Angel of the Medical Field".
