Sarawak Thong Sim Siang Tng's Lunar New Year Charity Distribution - Wong Koon Yew Hopes for Community Support

(Kuching, Jan 3) Sarawak Thong Sim Siang Tng is scheduled to hold a Lunar New Year charity distribution on the 12th of this month (Sunday), benefiting a total of 250 underprivileged families from various ethnicities.

The charity hall's chairman, Wong Koon Yew, expressed gratitude to various community leaders, enthusiastic individuals, and groups for participating in this charitable act, donating rice and food, or sponsoring funds to support families in need from different ethnic groups.

Wong Koon Yew also urges enthusiastic individuals or groups to sponsor Sarawak Thong Sim Siang Tng's Lunar New Year charity distribution, to let underprivileged families feel care and warmth, and to build a loving society together.

Today, he received a donation of 100 packages of 5 kg white rice from the Cheng Kong Love Team, handed over by leader Zhong Qi Mei, witnessed by Kuching North City Hall Committee members Xue Huadong and Tian Mingdong, expressing gratitude for the community support.

He mentioned that Sarawak Thong Sim Siang Tng is actively seeking donations of white rice/cash (the price for a 10 kg pack of white rice is RM 25). Donations can be transferred to the Sarawak Thong Sim Siang Tng account at Public Bank: 3175044401.

He urges donors to take a photo of the bank transfer receipt using a mobile phone WhatsApp and forward it to his mobile number 012-8861196, or to the hall's executive secretary Chan Hui Sheng's mobile number 014-2484995, for receipt issuance.

He stated that contributions from enthusiastic individuals and groups for this Lunar New Year distribution, whether it be rice, food, or charitable funds, have been continuously received, demonstrating great compassion.

Wong Koon Yew emphasized that Sarawak Thong Sim Siang Tng cherishes the donated food and funds from all quarters, all of which are used for charitable distributions, including regular charity events throughout the year, holiday-specific distributions, and efforts to assist impoverished families, which align with the charity hall's mission.
