Japanese men Yamashita Takashi (44) and Soma Takashi (32) were suspected of coercing a woman with violence in a condominium in Osaka Prefecture in mid-June this year. On Saturday (July 5), police announced the arrest of another suspect, Chinese national Li Bolun (23), who has admitted to participating in the sexual assault of the victim.
According to Sankei News, Li Bolun, Yamashita Takashi, and Soma Takashi met online. The three did not know each other's real names and referred to each other with single letters, arranging to go and sexually assault an unknown woman together.
On the night of the incident, a woman in her twenties was grabbed from behind with her mouth covered, then forcibly pushed into an apartment room. The suspects threatened her with a knife, tied her hands, and then took turns sexually assaulting her. In addition, a man in his twenties who lived in the apartment was also tied up and restrained when he returned home.
It is understood that Li Bolun used the Japanese name Tetsuri Watanabe and is a student at a vocational school in Katsuragi City, Nara Prefecture. Surveillance cameras captured him following other residents to enter the secure apartment building that day, spending about 20 minutes searching for a target. (News source: Liberty Times)
