(Kuching, 27) To welcome the new school year, Kuching Chung Hua Middle School No. 4 will hold the "2025 Form One Freshmen Admission 'Caring Test'" on December 14 (Saturday).
This is a special academic assessment test designed for new students, aimed at helping teachers better understand students' learning abilities, providing a basis for teaching planning for the new school year.
Currently, there are only 30 slots remaining, and the school calls on parents who have not yet registered to seize the opportunity to apply for their children to join this warm educational family of appreciation and practical knowledge at Chung Hua Middle School No. 4. There are only 30 slots remaining for the three-class plan
Principal Guan Chen Yang of Chung Hua Middle School No. 4 disclosed that, as of now, 60 students have been successfully admitted for the 2025 school year, covering outstanding graduates from various Chinese primary schools in Kuching and nearby areas.
In 2025, the school plans to open three Form One classes, with a total enrollment of 90 students, of which only the last 30 slots are remaining.
Principal Guan said, “We are very pleased to welcome more and more outstanding students to join Chung Hua Middle School No. 4. As the only independent middle school in Kuching practicing 'Appreciative Education,' we are committed to unleashing every student's potential and ensuring a joyful learning experience through the power of appreciation. Here, I urge parents to seize this precious opportunity to pave a bright path for their children's future while also preparing them for the upcoming school year.”
The upcoming 'Caring Test', scheduled for December 14, is specifically designed for 2025 Form One freshmen. The test content covers four subjects at the sixth-grade primary level: Chinese, Malay, English, and Mathematics. On the test day, candidates are required to wear neat primary school uniforms and bring their own stationery.
Principal Guan stated that the design of the test not only allows teachers to grasp students' learning conditions before the new school year begins but also helps students gradually adapt to secondary school life.
To promote the school's educational features more broadly, Principal Guan has recently visited various primary schools in Kuching and surrounding areas, holding 11 "Chung Hua Middle School Transition Sharing Sessions" to introduce the school's educational philosophy and achievements to sixth-grade students and teachers.
He pointed out that Chung Hua Middle School No. 4 is not only renowned for quality teaching but also emphasizes the holistic development of students. “We adhere to the belief of 'no poor students, only differences,' allowing every child to feel the power of appreciation.”
So far, of the 60 freshmen admitted, the majority come from Chinese primary schools in the Kuching and Samarahan area, with the highest number from Kuching Chinese Primary School No. 4 (13 students), followed by Zhonghua Public School at 4½ Miles (8 students).
