Kuching Chinese General Chamber of Commerce to Distribute Red Packets to 10 Charity Organizations During New Year

(Kuching, 27th) The entire management of the kuching chinese general chamber of commerce & industry (KCGCCI) and its welfare group members will distribute red packets annually before the Chinese New Year to 10 charity organizations. This initiative aims to extend care and the warmth and joy of the festive season to those in need.

The organizations receiving the red packets include the 13th Mile Old Folks Home, Mental Health Association, Brooke Memorial Hospital, Salvation Army Boys Home, Yun Nan Benevolent Society, Home of Love, Blind Training Centre, Salvation Army Children's Home, Sarawak Society of Parents for Special Needs Children, and the Association of Parents for Special Needs Children.

The  KCGCCI  plans to distribute the red packets and daily necessities from January 15 to 18, 2025. This will be carried out by dividing into four groups, each visiting the mentioned charity organizations. Lunch will also be arranged for the beneficiaries and the staff of these organizations.

Most of the funds for the red packets are sourced from the chamber's management, various working group members, and member businesses.

Furthermore, many philanthropic individuals personally visit the chamber's secretariat to donate funds. The welfare group expresses heartfelt thanks to these generous donors for their contributions, fostering a more caring society.

The chamber encourages those interested in donating to submit their contributions to the  kuching chinese general chamber of commerce & industry 's secretariat before the red packet distribution days. The list of donors and contributions will be published in major Chinese newspapers the day after the distribution.
