(Kuching, 12th) Artificial intelligence (AI) technology is expected to shape the future of the world, and we need visionary leaders to address the challenges posed by AI.

Sarawak Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari said that AI is a technology that can bring advantages and disadvantages depending on its use.

“It's like a knife. We need a knife to cut potatoes and meat, but a knife can also be used to kill. AI is the same. Therefore, leaders must be honest, truthful, and visionary when facing these increasingly severe challenges.”

During his speech at a banquet to welcome the Atlantic Council's Millennium Leadership Program delegation last night, Abang Johari expressed his belief that as leaders, everyone is here to protect the earth and create a better future for the world.”

He further pointed out that the world is entering an era of uncertainty, and current issues have raised global concerns.

Therefore, he emphasized that regardless of whether it is in Europe, Asia, or Africa, uncertainty remains, and a nimble leadership is needed globally.

“These problems are still a challenge to the extent that we cannot predict the future.”
