(Bandar Seri Begawan, 11th) The Brunei Center for Disabled Children (KACA) and RSW Service Company recently signed a memorandum of intent to collaborate, joining hands to provide non-emergency medical transport services for members of the center, helping disabled children and their families access more convenient medical transportation arrangements.
The signing ceremony was held at the Center for Disabled Children in Kampong Sungai Hanching.
The Chairman of the Brunei Center for Disabled Children, Dato Zana, Managing Director Abdul Halim, as well as committee members and staff of the center attended the ceremony and witnessed this important moment of cooperation.
The memorandum of intent was signed by the center's Chairman Dato Zana and RSW Service Company's Managing Director Mohamad Rahim on behalf of both parties.
According to the cooperation agreement, RSW Service Company will provide free non-emergency medical transportation services for the center's members; however, in the initial stage, the service will be rolled out gradually depending on the availability of ambulance vehicles and manpower.
The service covers transportation arrangements such as from the patient's home to the hospital, from the hospital back to home, and from home to the hospital or other medical clinics for check-ups and treatment, providing more convenient medical support for those with mobility challenges or special needs at the center.
Both parties expressed hope that through this collaboration, the medical transportation burden faced by families with disabled children can be further alleviated, allowing those in need to access medical services more easily and promptly, thereby enhancing the overall quality of care and well-being.
After the signing ceremony, both parties exchanged souvenirs, symbolizing the official launch of the partnership and expressing gratitude and anticipation for jointly promoting social welfare services.
