Teng Yun Temple Celebrates Deity's Birthday with Lively Taiwanese Opera Performances

(Bandar Seri Begawan, 16th) Brunei Teng Yun Temple held the 8th night of Taiwanese opera performances as offerings to the deity the night before.
This was also in conjunction with Teng Yun Temple's grand celebration last night of the birthday of the Main Deity Guang Ze Zun Wang, for which the Brunei Tong Le Hong De Sports Association was specially invited to add to the festive atmosphere with performances.
To celebrate the birthday of Guang Ze Zun Wang, the main deity, Brunei Teng Yun Temple once again warmly invited the Xiang'an Folk Opera School Troupe from Xiamen City, Fujian Province, China to perform this year.
The 10-night deity-thanking opera performances are being held from the 6th (Monday) to the 17th (Friday) of this month, with the exception of the 9th and 16th (both Thursdays), featuring different performances every night to express gratitude for the deity's grace. The scene is bustling with excitement.
During the thanking opera, Teng Yun Temple Chairman Lee Yong Zhen was presented with a 'Red Sea Child' religious token. The Xiang'an Folk Opera School Troupe from Xiamen also expressed gratitude to Chairman Lee Yong Zhen for his support.
