The Israel-Hamas war has continued for nearly two years, plunging civilians into deep suffering. Pop diva Madonna spoke out on social media on the 12th, earnestly pleading for Pope Leo XIV to visit Gaza before it's too late, to bring light to the children there.
Madonna wrote on social media appealing to the new Pope to undertake a humanitarian mission to Gaza, to bring light to the local children. “As a mother, I cannot bear to see them suffer. The children of the world belong to everyone. You are the only person who would not be refused entry,” she said, emphasizing that time is running out and hoping the Pope can accept her request.
Madonna explained that she chose to make this post because she knows that politics cannot truly bring change—only awakening can. That is why she is appealing to the messenger of God. Additionally, the 12th happened to be her son's birthday, so she hopes everyone will do what they can to help the children trapped by the Gaza war as the best gift.
Madonna stressed that she is not blaming or siding with anyone, since everyone is suffering, including mothers of hostages. She also prays for them and hopes the children can be released.
