(Lundu, 25th) On Tuesday night (February 24), two non-permanent residential houses located at Kampung Sampadi, Lundu, were completely destroyed by fire.
The Fire and Rescue Department stated that after receiving a distress call at 10:42 pm, the Lundu Fire Station immediately dispatched personnel to the scene, about 24 kilometers away.
The fire involved two wooden houses, measuring 20×20 feet and 15×20 feet respectively. Both houses were completely destroyed.
Firefighters used a 200-foot water hose and one nozzle to prevent the fire from spreading to a nearby third house.
The fire was brought under control at 11:20 pm, followed by thorough inspection and post-fire work to ensure the fire was fully extinguished.
The rescue operation ended at 11:49 pm, with no casualties reported.
