The Mainland Affairs Council recently collaborated with Taiwan’s Ministry of Culture to hold a special meeting, planning to investigate and punish several pro-China celebrities who previously reposted CCTV’s “Taiwan Must Return” statement on Weibo. The list includes over 20 people such as Nana Ouyang, Patty Hou, Angela Chang, Mark Chao, Joe Chen, Michelle Chen, and Jiro Wang. Perhaps due to this investigation, Patty Hou, who is on the list, suddenly announced that all her work in China would be postponed until next month. She has already left China, sparking widespread concern among netizens.
Recently, Patty Hou gave a heads-up to fans on Weibo, saying that all her job invitations in China would be temporarily put on hold. She then flew to Switzerland to attend a prestigious brand event, appearing in a stunning black gown that wowed onlookers. While there, she also took the opportunity to travel locally and stay in luxury hotels, frequently sharing beautiful photos on social media, which drew praise from many fans such as, “So beautiful,” and “We miss you.”
