Chinese actor Xu Kai made headlines today after being exposed for love entanglements with two actresses. Xu Lisha, who claims to be Xu Kai’s girlfriend, stated that they broke up in 2022 after Xu Kai was photographed checking into a hotel with Zhao Qing, a female actress from the same company.
She then posted screenshots of their conversations on social media, as well as a timeline of Xu Kai’s alleged infidelity. The two first met at a gathering in 2021; the next day, they met again at Xu Kai’s house at the invitation of other celebrity friends. Xu Lisha revealed that after friends gradually left that evening, “He got drunk, and when the alcohol hit, he dragged me to the door and kissed me. I hadn’t even processed what was going on before he took off his own clothes. I was so shocked, and because he drank too much, he passed out. I just ran away.” Xu Lisha even joked with friends afterwards that Xu Kai’s physique was average. They later started chatting frequently and entered into a relationship, until they broke up in January 2022 after an argument caused by a misunderstanding.
In August 2022, the two reunited while filming in Hengdian and even planned to travel together to meet each other's parents. But that December, Xu Kai was photographed entering and leaving a hotel with actress Zhao Qing, making the hot searches. Xu Lisha had an emotional breakdown and posted publicly, which was later found by Xu Kai’s fans. Xu Kai never directly responded to the matter. Afterwards, Xu Lisha exposed Xu Kai’s continued cheating into 2023: at the beginning of the year, when Xu Kai was filming in Qingdao, he claimed to be “quitting drinking for fitness,” but actually started secretly dating a new woman and hid the relationship.
In February, while filming a new drama, he repeatedly arranged meetings with co-stars through the casting team, took one of the actresses drinking and then moved to a hotel, attempting to be intimate, but the woman eventually escaped. The following day, when pursuing her, he lied about being “single for two years,” when in fact he was still trying to get back with Xu Lisha.
In April, Xu Lisha deleted Xu Kai’s contact information, and after Xu Kai’s new girlfriend made the relationship official, she experienced Xu Kai’s emotional coldness from July to August, suspecting he again had a new love interest. In October, a post from Xu Lisha complaining about Xu Kai was discovered by him, who then insulted her as a “black widow.” Because she was continuously harassed by Xu Kai’s extreme fans, Xu Lisha created a group chat with friends to demand an apology from Xu Kai, which was unsuccessful; he even quit the group chat directly. Ultimately, Xu Lisha felt she could no longer tolerate it and chose to expose everything.
As the incident continued to ferment online, triggering heated discussion, Xu Kai’s side released a lawyer’s statement, claiming they had already authorized legal action against Xu Lisha and other users for spreading false statements including “cheating,” “serial infidelity,” and “attempting to force intimacy while drunk.”#
