Delegation from Guangxi University for Nationalities Visits Brunei-China Belt and Road Promotion Association

(Bandar Seri Begawan, 15th) Professor Pan Yanqin of the ASEAN College of Guangxi University for Nationalities and Director of the Brunei Research Institute of Guangxi University for Nationalities, along with research assistant Liang Sichang, were accompanied by advisor Shen Renxiang of the ASEAN College/Brunei Research Institute of Guangxi University for Nationalities on a recent visit to the Brunei-China Belt and Road Promotion Association for exchange and discussions. Both parties engaged in in-depth discussions focusing on deepening people-to-people exchanges and educational cooperation.
At the symposium, Mr. Hong Jianyuan, President of the Brunei-China Belt and Road Promotion Association, introduced the development history of the association to Professor Pan Yanqin and her delegation, and especially elaborated on the association's efforts and achievements in recent years in promoting Brunei-China exchanges and cooperation in the fields of economy and trade, culture, and education. 
President Hong particularly mentioned the recent successful 'China Day' event, stating that it attracted wide participation from all ethnic groups in Brunei. The event had a lively atmosphere, which effectively enhanced the Brunei people's understanding and appreciation of Chinese culture. He expressed hopes for stronger exchanges and cooperation with Guangxi University for Nationalities in the future, and to jointly promote the further development of Brunei-China relations in the fields of people-to-people exchange and education. 
Professor Pan Yanqin expressed her appreciation for the efforts and contributions of the Brunei-China Belt and Road Promotion Association in advancing people-to-people, economic, trade, cultural, and educational exchanges between China and Brunei. She pointed out that Guangxi University for Nationalities has always been committed to ASEAN regional and country-specific studies, particularly accumulating extensive academic resources and practical experience in Brunei studies. 
Professor Pan looks forward to further deepening collaboration between the two sides in the future, especially in enhancing cultural exchange and educational interaction among youths of both countries, thereby promoting mutual understanding between the peoples of China and Brunei and injecting new vitality into the development of bilateral relations. 
The event was also attended by Mr. Shen Zongxiang, Association Affairs Advisor, and Mr. Wang Yongsheng, Secretary General of the Brunei-China Belt and Road Promotion Association. This visit has further strengthened the ties between both parties and laid a solid foundation for substantive cooperation in multiple fields in the future.
