Brunei to Remain Hot for the Next Three Days Meteorological Department Urges Heat and Sun Protection

(Bandar Seri Begawan, 26th) The Brunei Meteorological Department released a three-day weather forecast on June 26, indicating that the weather nationwide will remain generally hot over the next three days, with mostly sunny to partly cloudy conditions during the day and occasional localized showers. The Meteorological Department reminds the public to take precautions against heat and sun exposure and to avoid prolonged periods outdoors in high temperatures.

According to the forecast, the highest temperature on June 26 (Friday) could reach 34°C, with a low of 25°C; on June 27 (Saturday), the highest temperature will be 33°C, with a low of 25°C; and on June 28 (Sunday), the highest will remain at 33°C, with a low of 24°C.

For the next three days, daytime is expected to be mostly sunny to partly cloudy, with scattered showers; nighttime will be mostly cloudy with localized rain showers.

The Meteorological Department stated that the overall weather today is favorable, but intermittent localized showers may still occur. Regarding wind direction, it will be southeast or southwest during the day, with wind speeds of 5 to 15 km/h; at night, it will switch to northwest or northeast with speeds of 5 to 10 km/h.

As for sea conditions, the next few days will see calm seas, with wave heights ranging from 0.3 meters to 0.6 meters, suitable for general maritime activities. However, those heading out to sea should still closely monitor the latest weather updates.

Given the continuous hot weather in recent days, the Meteorological Department urges the public to take necessary preventive and safety measures, including staying hydrated, reducing lengthy outdoor activities, and implementing sun protection measures to reduce health risks posed by high temperatures.
