(Kuala Lumpur, 21st) — A teacher from a school in Kampung Pandan, Kuala Lumpur has been arrested by the police for allegedly sexually assaulting an 11-year-old student, and police have already recorded statements from six individuals.
Kuala Lumpur Police Chief Datuk Fadil pointed out that the police are also investigating whether there are other victims in this case.
“We are in the process of completing the investigation. Once it is completed, we will submit the investigation report to the deputy public prosecutor.”
Fadil said this during an interview on Sunday.
The 40-year-old suspect was arrested on December 19 and has been remanded for six days to assist with the investigation. Fadil stated that the suspect has no prior criminal record.
Police previously stated that the arrested suspect has taught at the school involved for about 11 years.
