BATU KAWAN, April 25 (Bernama) -- The Road Transport Department (JPJ) today introduced the upgraded MyJPJ smart application (app), an integrated platform offering faster and more user-friendly access to a range of JPJ services.
Transport Minister Anthony Loke Siew Fook said the enhanced app allows users to check driving licences and Motor Vehicle Licences (LKM), summonses, access JPJeBid and JPJeQ, and locate nearby JPJ offices.
He said new features include a 24-hour chatbot, guest mode for access without logging in, and integration with MyDigital ID to improve security and user convenience.
“In conjunction with JPJ’s 80th anniversary, we are upgrading MyJPJ into a super app, enabling more functions and transactions to be carried out digitally.
“The integration with MyDigital ID, the government’s single login platform using biometric verification such as fingerprints, will also address issues such as forgotten passwords and frequent password changes,” he told reporters after the JPJ 80th Anniversary Celebration and Mega JPJ MADANI Carnival at the State Stadium grounds here today.
The launch was officiated by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim. Also present were Penang Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow, Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Shamsul Azri Abu Bakar, and JPJ director-general Datuk Aedy Fadly Ramli.
Loke said the initiative was part of JPJ’s ongoing efforts to improve public service delivery in line with the agency’s transformation over the past eight decades.
He said the digitalisation of JPJ services would benefit the public, improve government efficiency and contribute to higher national revenue.
Earlier, Anwar also launched the smart app, with national songstress Datuk Seri Siti Nurhaliza Tarudin named as Road Safety Icon, in recognition of her influence and credibility to promote road safety awareness more effectively.
