In anticipation of the school holidays, Christmas, and New Year's celebrations of 2025, Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad has increased manpower to enhance airport operations, ensuring smooth journeys for passengers and reducing waiting times.
The Managing Director of Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad, Datuk Mohd Izani, stated on Wednesday (18th) to the media, that he assures travelers that arrangements have been made to handle the surge in passenger traffic during this period.
"We have strengthened security, safety, and hygiene measures to provide a stress-free airport experience for everyone."
The company also advises passengers to plan their journeys and make full use of the airport's smart facilities during the peak period from December 20 to January 5, 2025, which includes school holidays, Christmas, and New Year’s Day.
They expect an average daily passenger flow of 104,000 and 98,000 at Kuala Lumpur International Airport's Terminal 1 & 2, respectively. Therefore, airlines on site have arranged an additional 30 to 35 flights daily, increasing the total number of daily flights to 1,085.
In view of this, Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad encourages passengers to use the smart login systems online or at kiosks, e-gates, and the MYairports app for a faster and more convenient experience.
Moreover, passengers are urged to arrive early on site to ensure ample time for check-in and immigration procedures.
