Hong Kong metaphysics expert Szeto Fat-ching (司徒法正) has many clients in the Greater Bay Area and has recently started a Xiaohongshu account to interact with Chinese netizens. On the 2nd, Szeto uploaded a new video titled “Leon Lai Has Been Popular for Decades—There’s a Reason for That!” in which he discusses how Leon Lai’s kindness and good deeds have kept him at the top for so long.
Szeto stated: “People have to look at luck. When your luck comes, nothing can stop you. If you don’t have luck, no matter how hard you try, it’s useless.” He pointed out that many handsome men and beautiful women in the entertainment industry struggle to become famous, saying: “Why? The most important thing is luck.”
Szeto continued: “There used to be a saying in Hong Kong: ‘You’re popular? Are you more popular than Leon Lai?’ Why is Leon Lai so popular? He’s probably the star with the most hidden virtue among all celebrities.” Szeto observed Leon Lai’s facial features and said that although he is rather self-centered, something happened in his life that caused a major transformation.
Szeto said that when Leon had just risen to fame, his father was diagnosed with terminal colon cancer. “At that time, Leon vowed that if his father could recover, he would devote his entire life to good deeds. Miraculously, it really happened, and Leon has kept his word ever since.”
Szeto explained that in China, there were many children suffering from polio. Although there were effective drugs at the time, most rural families could not afford them. Leon held 100 charity concerts over three years to raise 3 million US dollars (about 12.68 million Malaysian ringgit).
Szeto said: “Based on what I know, the charity work Leon has done over the past 30 years has exceeded one billion Hong Kong dollars (about 530 million Malaysian ringgit).”
