American actor Michael Madsen, who collaborated multiple times with renowned director Quentin Tarantino, was reported to have been found unconscious at his Malibu residence on the morning of the 3rd. After unsuccessful resuscitation, the cause of death was determined to be cardiac arrest. He was 67 years old.
Born on September 25, 1957, in Chicago, Madsen delivered a memorable performance in Tarantino’s 1992 crime film “Reservoir Dogs.” One of his most iconic scenes in the film features him dancing while cutting off a police officer’s ear. Quentin worked with Madsen several times, including in “Kill Bill” series, “The Hateful Eight,” and “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.” In addition to being an actor, Michael was also a poet and photographer.
His agent stated in a release: “In the past two years, Michael has continued to deliver outstanding performances in the independent film scene. He was looking forward to the next chapter of his life and was preparing to publish a new book, which is currently in the editing stage. Michael is one of Hollywood’s most representative actors, and his passing is deeply mourned by countless people.”
