Veteran artiste Chow Chung, who was awarded the 'Outstanding Artiste Award' last year, sadly passed away from pneumonia today at the age of 92.
Chow Chung dedicated his life to the performing arts. In the 1960s, he was a leading young actor promoted by Guangyi Film Company, and starred in many well-known works such as 'The Miserable Daughter', 'Dragon Phoenix Sword', and 'Affectionate Children'. In 1998, he joined TVB and delivered a memorable performance as Yip Hau Kin in 'At the Threshold of an Era II'.
In 2008, his portrayal of the “Twenty-four Filial Father-in-law” Chung Fan Tat in 'Moonlight Resonance' left a lasting impression and earned him a spot as one of the final top five nominees for Best Supporting Actor at that year’s TVB Anniversary Awards, once again proving his superb acting skills.
He also appeared in 'Revolving Doors of Vengeance', 'Twilight Investigation', 'The Accident', 'Daddy Good Deeds', and other productions. His last TV appearance was in 'Sinister Beings'.
