(Sri Aman, 5th) A man driving a four-wheel-drive vehicle crashed into the rear of a lorry while passing through Bukit Sebangkoi last night, resulting in minor injuries.
Sri Aman Fire and Rescue Department chief Arrahman Chik stated that upon receiving the report at 9:21 p.m. last night, the department immediately dispatched 9 personnel and two fire trucks to the scene.
He said that preliminary investigations showed a 49-year-old man driving a Toyota Hilux lost control while going uphill and collided with the rear of the lorry in front.
“The Hilux driver sustained minor injuries from the impact, while the lorry driver was unhurt,” he said.
He added that when the fire department arrived, Ministry of Health personnel had already sent the injured to Sri Aman Hospital for further treatment.
“The lorry driver was unharmed and did not require treatment. As the injured was already rescued before the fire team arrived, there was no need for rescue operations,” he said.
