(Miri, 4th) Police have recently arrested two local men suspected of being involved in a recent house burglary case in the area.
The two suspects, aged 31 and 35 respectively, were apprehended on Monday (November 3) during a targeted operation.
This operation was led by Miri Police Station officer-in-charge ASP Goldy Jangan, involving a team of officers from the Crime Prevention and Neighborhood Safety Unit.
The operation took place at 1:30 p.m. in an abandoned house on Jalan Permaisuri, where police found the two suspects hiding inside.
Several items, believed to have been stolen during the burglary, were also seized at the scene.
Currently, the two suspects have been detained in the Miri Central Police Station lock-up, and police are continuing their investigation under Section 457 of the Penal Code (house burglary).
The police call on the public to remain vigilant. If any suspicious activity is discovered, it should be reported to the authorities immediately. Authorities also emphasize that public cooperation is crucial in curbing house burglaries and related crimes in the Miri area.
