The 27th Harbin Ice and Snow World officially opened to visitors at 10 a.m. on the 17th. Less than an hour after opening, long queues had already formed at the entrance. The park covers an area of 1.2 million square meters, using over 400,000 cubic meters of ice and snow in total — the largest scale in its history, creating a "fairy tale world" of ice and snow.
According to Xinhua News Agency, as she strolled through the park, Ms. Guo, a tourist from Guangzhou, repeatedly pressed her phone’s camera shutter amidst the fluttering artificial snow. As one of the first visitors admitted into the park, she lingered in front of the entrance gate, modeled after the old Harbin train station.
Stepping into the park, the overwhelming feeling is its "vastness." The central tower of the park, "Ice Lanterns Ignite Dreams," is the tallest and largest individual ice structure, sparkling and crystal clear under the sunlight. In addition, there are "ice and snow" versions of Wuhan’s Yellow Crane Tower, Fujian Tulou, and other buildings. As this year’s most popular attraction, the super ice slide features 24 lanes, with the longest stretching 521 meters, and incorporates Great Wall rampart and beacon tower elements.
This year, the number of ice sculptures and ice and snow structures has significantly increased compared to the previous year, and more technological elements have been added to enhance visitor interaction and immersive experience.
To attract more overseas tourists and boost the ice and snow economy, the park now accepts passports and overseas payment methods for ticket purchases, and provides multilingual guide services.
