A Korean Jeju Air passenger plane accident occurred, with witnesses indicating that while the plane was descending in preparation for landing, it collided head-on with a flock of birds. Flames were spotted on the right engine accompanied by two to three explosive sounds, seemingly as birds were sucked into the engine.
Zheng, who witnessed the incident, said he was fishing near the airport at the time. After the bird strike, the plane ascended again but did not reach sufficient altitude, and attempted to turn at low altitude to land in the opposite direction of the original landing point.
During the landing process, the plane flew over Zheng's head, and he observed with the naked eye that the landing gear was lowered. After landing, the aircraft could not control its speed, quickly veered off the runway, hit a wall, and exploded.
