(Miri 21st) The Northern Sarawak Journalists Association (NSJA) today paid a courtesy call to Transport Minister Dato Sri Lee Kim Shin at his service centre in Senadin.
The NSJA delegation was led by its president, Chai Chon Chin.
During the meeting, Lee reaffirmed his commitment to supporting the welfare of NSJA members by continuing his annual grant for their health benefits.
He urged members to make full use of the grant for health screenings, emphasising that early detection of health issues can save lives.
"As journalists, your job is demanding and often hectic,It is important to prioritise your health and adopt a healthy lifestyle," Lee said.
Lee, who is also Senadin assemblyman has been consistently allocating the funds for NSJA members’ health benefits since 2016.
The grant enables members to undergo health screenings at any clinic.
In response, Chai expressed his gratitude to Lee for his continued support of NSJA, particularly in ensuring the well-being of its members.
“Dato Sri Lee Kim Shin has been generously providing this grant for NSJA members' health benefits since 2016,” Chai said.
During the meeting, NSJA also presented an official invitation to Lee for its upcoming Gala Dinner on 25 April, which will be held in celebration of NSJA’s 50th anniversary.
Also present was Deputy President Clare Cinderella, who is the organising chairlady for the dinner.
