(Miri, 21st) The Board of Directors of the Malaysian Sports Council unanimously approved the nomination of Jefri Ngadirin as the tenth Director of the Malaysian Sports Council in a meeting held yesterday afternoon.
In response, Council Member Alan Ling extended his warm congratulations to Jefri Ngadirin.
Alan Ling stated that Jefri Ngadirin possesses extensive experience in the field of sports and he is confident that Jefri Ngadirin will be able to fulfill this important role. He hopes that Jefri Ngadirin will fully utilize his leadership skills in his new position, while giving group leaders more room to showcase their talents, to jointly promote the development of Malaysian sports.
He further pointed out that Malaysian sports are currently facing new opportunities and challenges. Under the new director's leadership, he is certain that the Malaysian Sports Council will achieve new successes through the united efforts of all its board members, to cultivate more outstanding national athletes for the country, and further enhance Malaysia's reputation in the international sports arena.
Alan Ling also specifically mentioned that Malaysia is set to host the 2027 Southeast Asian Games and participate in the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.
He expressed hope that Jefri Ngadirin, with his rich experience, will make full use of the ample time available to him, and closely collaborate with Sports Minister Hannah Yeoh to promote national sports reforms and lead Malaysian sports to new heights.
