Trump: 2 Weeks is the 'Longest' Deadline for Iran

US President Trump stated on the 20th that two weeks is the 'longest' deadline he is giving Iran to avoid US military strikes.

He made this remark before attending a political fundraising event in New Jersey.

White House Press Secretary Levitt said on the 19th that Trump will decide within the "next two weeks" whether to order the US military to strike Iran.

When asked by the media whether he would support a ceasefire between Israel and Iran during negotiations, Trump said he might support it "depending on the situation."

However, he also stated that it would be "very difficult" to ask Israel to stop bombing Iran.

US State Department spokesperson Bruce said at a press conference on the 20th that Trump "still holds out hope for negotiations," but she "cannot speculate" whether the US government would facilitate a ceasefire between Iran and Israel to resume negotiations between the US and Iran on Iran's nuclear issue.
