At present, more than 24.1 million Iranians have registered on a website called "Sacrifice for Iran," volunteering to give their lives for the country.
According to a report by Iran's Mehr News Agency on the 14th, this demonstrates the unity of the Iranian people, their determination to safeguard national security, and to resist external threats.
The report stated that the organizers of the event said the "Sacrifice for Iran" activity originated from widespread calls by people from all walks of Iranian society in public media and spaces. Its purpose is to create a platform for people to voluntarily express their willingness to defend the nation. The main goal of the platform is to provide Iranians with an opportunity for symbolic participation and to record their collective resolve in supporting national security and territorial integrity.
Previously, Iranian President Pezeshkian and Speaker Qalibaf have announced their participation in the "Sacrifice for Iran" campaign.
Iran has a population of about 90 million, making it the second most populous country in the Middle East after Egypt.
