(Kuching, 14th) In response to blood bank shortages and to promote public health, the 'Community Blood Donation Drive' jointly organized by JKKK Simpang Tiga Kenyalang, RELA Padawan, and the Malaysian Red Crescent Stampin Branch will be grandly held this Saturday (July 19).
The event will take place from 10:00am to 2:00pm, on the first floor (Mall 1) of CityOne Shopping Mall, with the theme 'Donate Blood · Give Hope · Join Hands to Save Lives'.
This event aims to replenish the blood bank reserves and raise public awareness about the importance of regular blood donation in saving lives.
In addition to the blood donation activity, a variety of free health services will be available onsite for both the public and donors.
The Malaysian Diabetes Association (Sarawak Branch) will provide free health screenings to help the public monitor their blood sugar levels and overall health.
PMG Pharmacy will also offer several free screening services, including skin analysis, fundus (retinal) examination (for early detection of eye diseases), bone density screening, and dental consultation.
The setup of these services aims to encourage the public to pay more attention to their own health while participating in a highly meaningful charitable event.
Successful blood donors will receive a gift pack as a token of appreciation for their selfless contribution.
The organizers stated: "This is not just a blood donation drive, but also an opportunity to unite the community, spread hope, and save lives."
