The police have completed recording statements from 10 university students to assist in the investigation of the "People's Anti-Corruption Rally" held on January 25 in front of a shopping center on Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman, Kuala Lumpur.
The Chief of Kuala Lumpur Police District, Assistant Commissioner Afendi, stated that the statements from all 10 individuals were completed at 2:30 PM today at the Kuala Lumpur Police District Headquarters.
When inquired, he said that the university students were accompanied by five lawyers while giving their statements, and the investigation is being conducted under the Peaceful Assembly Act 2012.
He mentioned that two university students agreed to give their statements in Sabah, while another has not yet confirmed.
Approximately 200 people participated in the "People's Anti-Corruption Rally," marching from the shopping center to the Independence Square.
