(Brazil, 7th) Malaysia, Egypt, and South Africa are united in their stance, demanding that the Israeli regime immediately cease all forms of aggression and oppression in Gaza.
This position was once again confirmed during Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar's separate meetings with Egyptian Prime Minister Madbouly and South African President Ramaphosa.

Cannot Remain Silent on Human Rights Violations
Speaking at the BRICS Leaders’ Summit, Anwar said that Malaysia and Egypt both believe the international community can no longer remain silent on ongoing human rights violations.
During his meeting with Ramaphosa, Anwar also expressed Malaysia’s high appreciation for South Africa’s firm support of the Palestinian cause, including South Africa’s steadfast stand at the International Court of Justice.
South Africa was the first country to take Israel to the International Court of Justice over the acts of genocide in Gaza, a conflict that has claimed over 56,000 lives and caused tremendous destruction in the region.
Anwar added that the leaders of Egypt and South Africa have also pledged to further strengthen bilateral relations through multi-sectoral cooperation.
Malaysia and South Africa agreed to review their existing partnership and explore new avenues to expand strategic investments in areas including agriculture, automotive, tourism, and the halal industry.
Anwar reiterated that Malaysia is committed to deepening its cooperation with South Africa, regarding it as an important trade partner on the African continent, in line with the spirit of South-South cooperation and intercontinental prosperity.
The Prime Minister also invited Ramaphosa to attend the ASEAN Summit in October and thanked South Africa for inviting Malaysia to participate in the G20 Summit to be held this November.
