In fact, the entire copyright of Pang Mailang’s “My Skateboard Shoes” had long been sold to his management company “Beijing Huashu Culture Media Company” (Huashu Media), resulting in him losing direct control over the work. As for Hua Chenyu’s release of “My Skateboard Shoes 2016,” the adaptation rights were lawfully acquired from “Huashu Media” in 2017 and included in his personal album. Therefore, Pang Mailang’s sudden attack this time is viewed by most netizens as an attempt to ride on trending topics.
