(MIRI, 24th) MIRI HIN ANN ASSOCIATION will hold its annual general meeting on March 1, 2025 (Saturday) at the banquet hall on the 5th floor of the Imperial Hotel. Following the meeting, there will be a Spring Festival gathering dinner titled 'Welcoming Fortune with the Auspicious Snake', an award ceremony for outstanding academic achievements of members’ children, and inauguration ceremonies for four major institutions. The dinner will commence at 6:30 PM.
Members and their children are eligible to apply based on academic results from 2022 to 2024, with conduct being at least B grade.
Eligibility Criteria for Members' Children Academic Excellence Awards:
Pre-school/Kindergarten
Year-round all subjects with A grade.
Primary School Group
1. Grades 1 to 6 (TP1-TP6): In Chinese, English, National Language, Mathematics, Science, and History, at least 5 of these 6 core subjects must be scored at TP4 or above.
2. Grades 1 to 6 (non-TP1-TP6): Overall average above 75% (with all subjects passed).
3. For Grades 4 to 6 in 2024 with the three M system: Academic performance must meet the following grade criteria in Chinese, National Language, English (including composition and comprehension), Mathematics, Local Studies, Science, and Morality. Any subject with a “C” or having any 3 subjects with “B” or above will disqualify the candidate from receiving the award.
Secondary School Group
1. National or Independent Schools: Any term exam average score of 70 or above.
2. Secondary School Examination Results
SPM: All subjects passed + at least 6 A's or more
STPM/A Level: All subjects passed + at least 3 A's
Chinese Independent School Junior: All subjects passed + at least 6 A's or more
Chinese Independent School Senior Unified Examination: All subjects passed + at least 5 A's or more
College and University Group
Doctoral degree (Ph.D.), Master’s degree, Bachelor’s degree, Professional Diploma; successful applicants must join as permanent members before receiving the award.
