Thunderstorms Expected in the Next Three Days; Meteorological Bureau Urges Low-Lying Areas to Guard Against Flooding

(Kuala Belait, 23rd) – The Brunei Meteorological Department has issued a three-day weather forecast today, predicting continued unstable weather nationwide with showers or thunderstorms expected in some areas during the afternoon and night. The public is reminded to be vigilant for sudden floods in low-lying and flood-prone areas.
 According to the weather forecast released by the Brunei Meteorological Department at 12:30 pm today, the weather will range from partly cloudy to cloudy, with occasional showers or thunderstorms in certain areas during the afternoon and night.
 Today's highest temperature is expected to be 33°C, with a low of 25°C; Tuesday's high will also be 33°C with a low falling to 24°C; Wednesday's high and low will be 33°C and 25°C, respectively.
 The Meteorological Department predicts that thunderstorms could occur both during the day and night on Tuesday and Wednesday, and the public is advised to pay close attention to weather changes when engaging in outdoor activities.
 Winds are expected to come from the southwest or northwest, with speeds between 10 to 25 km/h; sea conditions will be slight, with wave heights ranging from 0.4 to 0.8 meters.
 The Meteorological Bureau especially reminds that during or nearby periods of showers or thunderstorms, gusts may reach speeds of up to 45 km/h.
 Meanwhile, low-lying and flood-prone areas will also face the risk of sudden flooding. The public is urged to stay alert and follow the latest weather forecasts and safety advisories.
