(Bandar Seri Begawan, 23rd) Based on information provided by the public, personnel from the Brunei Royal Police Force (PPDB) Bangar Police Station took swift action and successfully seized a batch of contraband during a patrol operation in Temburong District.
A Daihatsu Sirion vehicle was found acting suspiciously near the Jalan Labu roundabout. Police then launched a pursuit and successfully intercepted the vehicle in the STKRJ area of Kampong Tanah Jambu.
The driver, believed to be male, fled the scene during the police chase.
Upon inspecting the vehicle, police discovered 2,500 packs of cigarettes, 48 bottles, and 144 cans of various brands of liquor. All confiscated items have been handed over to the Customs and Excise Department for further action and investigation.
