The Prime Minister of Vietnam has recently instructed the acceleration of reducing administrative approval procedures to enhance the ease of doing business, with a special focus on reforming four key areas: fire safety, the establishment and operation of industrial parks and clusters, environmental impact assessments, and construction permits.
According to reports, this move aims to promote double-digit economic growth targets and further optimize the investment and business environment.
The Prime Minister has required the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, and the Ministry of Construction, among other relevant departments, to urgently review regulations and approval processes in the aforementioned areas and submit a report to the government by May 10. The report should cover specifics including approval authorities, processes, execution methods, required documents, and processing times.
At the same time, each department must evaluate the effectiveness of administrative simplification measures implemented in recent years and propose concrete improvement plans, to be submitted to the Ministry of Justice for consolidation and independent assessment.
The Ministry of Justice will take the lead in coordinating the relevant reports, propose further optimization recommendations based on comprehensive analysis, and report to the Prime Minister by May 12, so as to continuously deepen administrative reform.
