(Bandar Seri Begawan, 25th) The third China-Brunei Cultural and Arts Festival will be grandly launched on September 27, 2025, at Baiduri Bank Headquarters, once again bearing witness to the profound friendship and cultural exchange between the two countries.
Since its inception in 2021, the festival has become a 'cultural bridge' connecting Brunei and China, bringing together artists and communities from both nations through the language of art and culture to jointly present vibrant creativity and collaboration.
This year’s festival highlights include:
1) China-Brunei Painting and Calligraphy Exhibition: 'Peonies and Starfruit: Blossoming Friendship' — Showcasing a diversity of works from artists of both countries, highlighting the beauty of cross-cultural exchange.
2) Narrative Art Exhibition: 'Silk Heritage: From the Maritime Silk Road to Belt and Road' — Telling the historical and contemporary cultural context of the Silk Road and the Belt and Road Initiative.
3) Film Screening: 'Nezha 2' (September 27, 1:00–3:30 PM).
4) Seminar: 'History and Future Prospects of the Maritime Silk Road between China and Brunei' (September 27, 3:45–4:30 PM).
5) Calligraphy Hands-on Experience — Open for public participation.
The festival will be open to the public from 1:00 to 5:00 PM on September 27 (Saturday), and from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM on September 28 (Sunday). Free admission for all, to experience the unique charm of cross-cultural exchange together.
Festival founder Huang Huifen stated that the festival is not only a celebration of creativity, but also a witness to enduring friendship, expressing hope that the friendship between China and Brunei will remain everlasting, working together towards a shared future.
