(Bandar Seri Begawan, 9th) The second batch of the Brunei delegation, consisting of 28 athletes in netball, silat, and wushu, as well as 9 officials (including liaisons, medical officers, and coaches), for a total of 37 people, has departed for Bangkok, Thailand to attend the 33rd Southeast Asian Games in 2025.
The Brunei wushu team will participate in the 33rd SEA Games in Thailand, represented by 11 athletes and 2 coaches.
Brunei wushu coach Li Hui hopes that the team members will maintain discipline, perform at their best, achieve brilliance, and contribute to the nation.
Permanent Secretary (Culture) of the Ministry of Culture, Youth, and Sports, Pengiran Mohd Hasnan, saw them off at Brunei International Airport, wished them a safe journey, and delivered an encouraging speech.
Senior officials from the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, representatives of national sports associations, and athletes' families were also at the airport to see them off.
The third batch of athletes will depart for Bangkok, Thailand to compete on Wednesday, December 10, 2025.
