(Bandar Seri Begawan, 9th) A local man was convicted of molesting a woman and sentenced to 9 months in prison.
The defendant, Mohamad Yusof (59), will begin serving his sentence from December 4, 2025.
The defendant worked as a warehouse manager at STIA Ltd., and had been working part-time in the logistics department of Diamond Security Services Company since 2014.
On November 4, 2025, a female security guard from Diamond Security Services Company went to the company's office at Jalan Gadong Tungku to change into her uniform.
Upon arrival, the victim immediately went to the first floor, requesting to meet with the defendant, who was responsible for logistical matters including the sizing of Diamond staff uniforms.
The defendant led the victim to the second floor, where there was a storage room for equipment and uniforms. In the storage room, the victim returned her old uniform and requested a larger one. The defendant then made inappropriate remarks to the victim.
After receiving the new uniform, the victim and defendant went from the second floor down the stairs to the first floor, with the victim walking in front and the defendant behind her. On the stairs, the defendant committed an indecent act against the victim.
Because of the defendant's actions, the victim felt her dignity had been violated and reported to the police on November 25, 2025. The defendant was arrested on December 2, 2025.
